The Wharf, Calne

When I last blipped The Wharf I observed that the empty spaces on either side of the road were shortly to disappear. Six years on, these buildings had been built on the Bank site, representing low cost homes for Calne's housing associations, and adjacent to the old library.

Attempts to work on the wobbly old tables in the library were usually terminated by (i) someone wobbling the table I was trying to read on; (ii) Whistling-under-his-breath Man; (iii) the dog belong to the house next door barking through the open windows. Thank heavens for broadband and an end to library hell.

(I am working through a photo card box labelled 'Calne 1988-1998' - 95% of the pictures I took during this period were NOT of Calne!)
