Bless 'Em

One of my pupils broadcast to the class as she entered the room this morning that tomorrow will be my birthday. From then on, so endearingly, they "secretly" made me origami birthday gifts which they showered on me at the end of the day, with a round of The Birthday Song. 

The child who broadcast the news presented me with the C3-PO and stormtrooper mugs. About one hour after school, another returned with her brother to present me with the box of biscuits.

What have I done to deserve this?
