Dungeness, Derek Jarman's Cottage.

A wild and lonely place, in the words of Pte Frazer. We've never been here before, to this settlement on a huge shingle spit in Kent. It's an incredibly interesting and attractive setting, with the brooding presence of Dungeness B Nuclear power station always lurking in the background. It's a bit of a pilgrimage for the arty among us (probably not me), to have a look at artist, writer, director, Derek Jarman's cottage for the last few years of his life.
It's well worth a visit - quite a unique spot - couple of decent pubs as well (that's more me).
