Another Day - Another Castle
It was an amble around Amble and a very nice coffee in a wee hut cafe overlooking the harbour entry. The town's kids have made a great 'Rock Snake' ........ a huge number of painted rocks that are laid along a path near the harbour. It has hundreds of them and is a great community project.
Plans to go to Warkworth castle got sidelined (the weather played a big part in that) and instead Dunstanburgh was visited so that there was an option of waves shots, castle shots, or o combination of both.
While I was just sitting watching the waved crashing in I was lucky enough to see a Kingfisher shoot past - far to quickly for me to even thing about picking up a camera.
Bamburgh was the hope for a sunset.
That didn't happen. The cliud cover just wouldn't break up, although it keep teasing.
As is my want, I went hunting for slightly alternative shots and did a wee bit of 'light painting' with a small torch. This shoe was already in place on top of the giant concrete dice on the beach (old defences I think) which really annoyed me .... you don't get two face each with a 5 on them or a 4 opposite a 2.
