a week is a long time in politics

ok, it's more like ten days since i last snapped this clematis and there's nothing political about it, but...

nasty nightmares
late for work (tho not unusual on a monday)
so bored for half the morning i could chew my arm off
less than thrilling workload (honorable exception = DM)
email not working - IT dept has the answerphone on!
can barely even elicit 'hi' let alone 'sorry last night went pear-shaped' (btw, i'm not the only person to whom 'later' means 'later *tonight*' !)
union-related comment that makes me wonder if anything's being done

thank heavens for daylight, trigger finger, takeaway and days off approaching.
