Trailside

Wildflowers along the W&OD trail this evening near the end of a very long walk. I mentioned jewelweed yesterday, and here are a few orange blooms. Blipper Tookie posted some good information about it a little while ago. The blossoms have some salve-like nectar good to rub on nettle stings or mosquito bites, which I did today. 

Saddened tonight by news of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death. And by the complete hypocrisy of the Senate leadership.

Canned some tomato sauce today but the jars didn't all pop...so we'll have to have a nice big lasagna in the next week or so. Tried to get some writing done but I kept dozing off...that can't say anything good about the liveliness of that chapter! Have a good weekend, everyone.
