Dash
A morning of interviews - flipped views between pre-meet and interview itself but otherwise went fairly smoothly.
A bit annoyed I then had to trek over to Glasgow for a Board meeting - feel it could really have been done on zoom (especially since one of the older members came up from London on the train) - and not helped by getting lost in the centre of the city but just focussed on listening to my novel and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. The meeting itself (or what I managed to be part of by the time I arrived!) went well and nice to be able to support the senior team with all they've done over the last few months.
During the meeting I got texts saying G&W had been given the wrong time for arrival back in Edinburgh from their trip to Scarborough and would be getting in at 5 instead of 7pm. So after a dash over to Glasgow I then had to dash back again....but luckily much more straightforward and very little traffic. Picked them up in a nearby bar where they'd been waiting and headed to the fish and chip restaurant for their last taste of Scottish fish supper before going back to Turkey. They enjoyed it all, then we headed home as they've had a tiring week and G was telling me all about their letting agent and difficulties they're having with decisions about what to do with their house whilst they're abroad. Sounds like there's no easy solution.
Mint tea and gogglebox for a while before bed - they've not slept well all week apparently so needed a good night's sleep.
