A good year

The apple tree was here when I moved in eleven years ago. This is the best crop I’ve had in that time and I’m making the most of it. 

In previous years they’ve been small and frequently victims of my bird visitors. Last year I had a go at trimming and tidying. Pruning is too professional a word. 

These look even tastier against that blue sky. I must go. I’m trying out a Dorset Apple Traybake with some of the windfalls.
