Land of oak and iron

Dog walk here before spinning class. Disturbed a grey wagtail and watched it fly around and about the river. (RSPB bird identifier comes in handy!). Who knew that there used to be a thriving iron & steel industry here?!

I hadn't realised that live folk music was being played in the courtyard of the coffee shop here each Saturday afternoon. Must keep an eye out for local goings-on. The sun really came out in the afternoon for them.

Instead I'm just pottering about at home after class as hubby is at work all weekend. Plenty of jobs to do! The headlines today say that the second wave of Covid-19 in the UK is now happening and there is talk of another potential national lockdown of some form or another.

Pm: watched Beauty & the Beast & then Lady Bird! Really enjoyed both but especially Lady Bird!
