Day trip

4 of us drove down to Hoddesdon today to collect the trailer and load up with the remaining tree brush from 3 weeks ago. We were lateish getting away at just after 9am and the road was slow, so didn't arrive at mum and dad's until gone 12. Left Mollie and Henry there to spend some time with nana and papa & to make themselves useful, while Jon and I headed up to our friends house in the countryside at the top of Lord Street, to collect the trailer.

Lovely to see Isabel and Kathi and their grandchildren. Had a brief catch up over a cup of tea, then drove back to mums via Jenny's. There Jon swiftly removed an Ash tree sapling that had self seeded by her front window. Sadly no time to stop as we were parked up on the kerb with the trailer, on a road heavy with parked cars.

Back to mums and had lunch, loaded up and left at 4.30. On our way back we met up with my nephew Cameron in a car park en route, with some bags of bits. He has just gone back to Uni in Norwich and clearly forgot a few essentials! Glad we were able to rendezvous en route to deliver them without a hitch.

Going to have an indian takeaway when we get home...then a film perhaps!
