Ironman in isolation

My Son in Law has trained for many , many months to do the Iron Man competition. 

This year to be held in Italy. It's circa , 2.2 miles swimming. Run a marathon. A 120 miles cycling .... and it was cancelled!! Due to Covid..! No surprise there then. 

So he set off crack of dawn this morning and did it on his lonesome.. except for support team. Daughter2 ( by age of course) and family. 

Imagine doing this. No cheering crowds, no one to pace you or you them. Starting off in the dark and finishing it in the dark. 

What can one say. How about WOW for a start.

He's the pale one in the middle with his daughter and son to the right and brother and his son to the left. And he's just finished.

He also collected money for Cancer Research ( for Jo).
