Base Court

This is a photo taken in Base Court at Hampton Court Palace. The large building on the left is the Chapel Royal. Through the archway is Clock Court.
One of my favourite things about Hampton Court Palace is the amazing brickwork of the chimneys, so many different designs and they all look so good against a blue sky.

Visited today for the third time after ‘lockdown’ and today it was much busier, probably partly because it’s a weekend. The gardens are looking OK but rather sad compared to previous years. The vegetable garden is in a sorry state with less then 25% properly cultivated , probably due to a lack of volunteers.
