Looking Up

This photo is looking up at the blue sky, it seemed like the best representation of what I loved about today. The tree on the left lost a bunch of its leaves during the windstorm that started the inferno.....all of them blew in my yard. Hopefully the wind comes from the West when the leaves fall naturally so they go the other direction. Is that mean? 
 
Finally all the smoke is gone, our air is safe; we threw open the doors and windows, it is wonderful. Being able to go outside without an N95 mask is amazing. There was enough rain to help subdue the fires; they are not contained, but definitely better. 

Last night some protesters showed up in downtown Portland but when the police declared it had turned into a riot and told them to go home.....they went home. I hope this is a good sign for the future......I have not heard what is happening down there tonight. I hope it is peaceful.
