Built In Obsolescence

I have been self employed - purchasing my own laptop for nearly 12 years. Over this time I've learnt that the life expectancy of a laptop is three years . This keyboard is almost 3 years old to the day and I spent halk a hour today sticking letters on where the old ones have worn out.
