Lazy Sunday Afternoon

You can almost see late Summer nodding off and falling asleep as Autumn creeps onstage.

It has been a lovely delayed start to the Autumn, warm and sunny.  We've perhaps another day or so of this and by this time next week the forecast suggests that the temperature will have fallen by 9C. But in the meantime there is plenty to enjoy.

This one is an exercise in a softer presentation, with just a small narrow plane of detail reserved for the centre of the flower head.  Earlier in the Summer the butterflies and bees were all over these flower heads, but not so much now.
