A very distant Wheatear #75

After a couple of hours in the garden this morning we headed to Pickering’s Pasture before the high tide arrived. There is only one screen at the pasture across the marsh but luckily it is not that popular so we were able to sit and watch for nearly 2 hours without needing to move apart from once for about 3 minutes! 
The sun was directly in front of us, so It was really difficult to get any shots at all, and as you can see, the birds were quite distant. 
There are two benches, far enough apart to be socially distanced and one was being used by a guy who was doing the monthly bird count. He was there for about an hour and happily moved aside a couple of times too. 

The reason we were there so long was because the high tide had almost covered the whole marsh which was covered with waders and Canada Geese - mainly Redshank and Lapwings, a few Dunlin, a couple of sand pipers, three little egrets, one heron, some meadow pipits, crows and a couple of wheatears. I’ve only seen wheatears twice this year and since they will soon be leaving for warmer climes it is today’s blip, even if it’s not a good shot really. 
We also had fun watching the kingfisher trying to catch it’s dinner (extras) - very difficult to get anything useable at all so we just enjoyed watching him hover, dive and move from post to post in the sunshine for the most part.
