Spud digging
A sunny day again today, but a definite nip in the air. Back on the slope which passes as my garden - planted a rhododendron, again from the top of a ladder, digging a hole with my hand mattock.
After lunch we went to the Walled Garden and dug the spuds; they're out on the deck, drying. No rain forecast for tomorrow so will take a chance and leave them out overnight. While we were there we picked another 3.5lbs of runner beans and some peas.
Quote of the Day:
A.A.Milne – “What I say is that, if a man really likes potatoes, he must be a pretty decent sort of fellow.”
