Train window

6 hours on 4 trains. Many more stations (and instagram pics), a 15 minute run between 2, outrun by a 50+ year old (later told me she was a pursuit runner years ago?!! - felt a bit better). Conversation with a young lad going for an interview with portfolio for a place at Nottingham Trent Uni (as I did 15 years ago??!!) from Alnwick I hope he gets it unlike I did.

And that's all before the purpose of the day. Cafe, fab White Stuff store, and lunch at Jamie's Italian with the lovely LJ. Love the style of that place. Open kitchen feel. Bread lying out on benches mixed in with tables. Even the basement was high end ibterior design mixed with an old open brickwork charm. Worth a visit for the building as well as the food. A cold day, a beef stew mmm. As well as eating we talked business and plotted a trip to France in the summer.

Back on trains. Sat next to a lovely grandma who kindly offered me a seat next to her.
