By the Seaside

Sunshine and a light breeze made for perfect weather for a stroll with mum and dad at the seaside in Hythe today. Seagulls were hunting for scraps, dogs walked along the promenade tails wagging and tongues hanging out in the heat.

Swimmers and paddle boarders enjoyed the calm sea, fishermen sat on the pebbled beach patiently waiting for a catch and families sat by beach huts drinking tea.

Just off the coast a barge was dredging sand and overhead a Spitfire flew past. As I took in the sights and sounds of the seaside I wondered if this could be the last of the summer sun as autumn is just around the corner.
