Zinnia Days

Beautiful day, sunny and clear as a bell. It warmed to somewhere in the 60s (about 18C) and is now getting quite cold, down to 37F/3C tonight. A cricket has found its way indoors and just gave an almighty chirp from the sunroom. I guess we'll give it sanctuary tonight, as long as he doesn't give us a midnight serenade.

We've been inundated with cute kitten and puppy photos today, as both W.'s sister and mine happened to adopt new pets yesterday. W. will meet the puppy, Boone, on Tuesday, as he's getting ready to return to Tennessee for a couple weeks to spend time and help out with Harry.

More weeding and clearing outdoors today, preceded by a luxurious time of lounging in the sun (in the sunroom) and finishing a detective novel.
