A picture is worth a thousand words...

The first week back from break and all conversations revolve around "How was your trip?" As I struggle to summarize a place, a people, and an experience between bites of food at lunch or during passing time in the hallway, it occured to me that this is an example where, even for an English teacher, language is lacking.. As I sat with friends for dinner tonight I kept flashing back to this photo in my mind and thought about how in such a quick glance it could so capture what language cannot: the nuances, color, and movement of a moment.
