Traditions

An old Dutch tradition is serving ‘beschuit met muisjes’ ( rusks with a sugared aniseed topping) at the birth of a baby. So an old tradition for a new baby , seems appropriate today for the Mono Monday theme as we ‘re waiting to hear how labour is progressing today , they’ve been in hospital since 9 a.m.  this morning , it’s now 8 pm over here! Poor Fumiko and baby, nerve wracking for the soon to be father and the rest of the family.
