Archery

My mum and dad are up this week.

In addition to the usual bag of goodies for the children (and me this time - get in!) they brought with them their hankering for a boot sale on a Sunday morning and so we headed out to one just off the A6.

There was the usual stuff there, but m’boy scored yet more toy cars whilst the youngest found some little things to put in her to be constructed fairy garden.

Afterwards, on a recommendation from someone quite brilliant, we made our way to Archers Cafe near Hest Bank which was also right on the shore line of Morecambe Bay. We spent a very nice hour or so eating cake and having a brew before a little wander across the marshes. M’boy spent most of the time trying (and failing) to push me into the wet muddy bits. Bless ‘im.

In the afternoon something amazing happened. Back home and the children were all individually occupied and didn’t want anything from me!! I squeezed in a five minute nap on a Sunday afternoon!!!
