Old and new feathers

Its been another hot, sunny and still day.  I was out for an early sprint cycle class and then later in the afternoon went for a circular walk along the beach and up the river.  I spotted this cygnet on the river with its mum and dad.  Its feathers are a mixture of the old grey ones and the new white ones coming through. That should do for todays mono Monday challenge of old and new hosted by GadgetKid.
