Day 183 The school run

Today Mr MC and I tried an alternative place to park when doing the school run.  The road which leads to Violet's school  has been closed to traffic for some years now and we have the option of driving round through the town or parking before the gate and walking through to the school.  Previously we had always driven round but thought that we'd give the other option a try.  Parking was fine in the morning, but no so easy in the afternoon.  The advantage is that the walk is through Epping Forest, the path is flat and the road of course much quieter, so worth leaving on the early side for.
I've converted the phone pic to mono so that I can enter it for today's MonoMonday challenge, hosted by GadgetKid.  The theme is Old and New, which Mr MC might find a little insulting, so I'll go for Younger and Older.
In other news: in the UK there was an 11am  briefing from the chief medical officer  and chief scientific officer, painting a gloomy picture of what might lie ahead Covid-19 wise.  Tomorrow the Prime Minister will address the nation, outlining the next batch of restrictions.  Here we go again!
