Absorbing
Its not easy photgraphing the Cheviots. They are beautiful round hills with deep valleys but difficult to do justice.
I had wonderful day out spotting the sympathetically curved sheep circles;
watching buzzards hover and soar;
finding familiar forests gone and more curved landscapes revealed;
watching hundreds of rounded dung beetles tidying up; spotting a toad playing dead and a small lizard scuttling for cover, dead voles/shrews and a live one;
enjoying the signs for hidden archeology, a stone marker of murder, the living farmed landscape and regularly reminded with a boom like thunder of the military presence; and soaking up the oh so bone warming wonderful sun.
With so many words of description, you can imagine that the few extras only go part way to sharing with you the day, including the curves.
