Southerness Lighthouse

Had a nice day exploring the Dumfries and Galloway coastline. Started off at Carsethorn which at one time was a busy port but now just a sleepy village on The Solway estuary.
Then on to Southerness with its lighthouse and on to Kippford. I couldn’t get parked there so drove back to a place called Rockcliffe and walked the footpath through the woods to Kippford, famous for its cockleshell beach.
