I’m always up for good ideas about food. This recipe is in Rick Stein’s book “From Venice to Istanbul”. It’s Turkish and it was recently featured on the Saturday morning programme.

I have (and love) the book but this gem had passed me by. I tried it. I told my brother (who is seriously restricted on carbs) and he tried and loved it (though with totally different veg). 

It’s like spaghetti Bolognese without the guilt. No pasta in sight. 

It’s the most delicious cabbage stew..... You can find it on the BBC website and elsewhere. 

I’ll make it again this winter, and before, I’m certain.
