Valentine Cake

Today I decided that we would have a daddy day activity of making some special heart cakes for Wife for tomorrow.

The little ones at first agreed to the task, but then Boy decided it was too upsetting and so decided the telly box was for him. So Girl and I made a start and got all the cake stuff out. We then realised we needed butter and so all had to head out again.

Once back the telly box was too appealling for both leaving me alone baking. So I made the cakes and they managed to put some decorations on top briefly when I brought them in to show them.

Not long after Wife was home and Boy ran to greet her with "We made cakes". The smell gave them away too. So we had to eat them for pudding a day early. We did manage to save one for tommorow.

The little ones were as reluctant to have a bath tonight as they were to make cakes. However once in they played for ages. Somehow they were doing dancing with their toys in the bath. Girl's were street dancing and Boy's were head dancing. Girl informed Boy that, that was not street dancing and he told her, No it was head dancing.
