A Day In The Life

Goodbye, Summer

It’s official, summer is over for another year. It’s been one of the warmest and driest I’ve experienced, and with Covid-19 still spreading, it will be one we’ll never forget • I dislike the loss of sunlight most, but there are many more things to love about Autumn. Let’s see, changing of the leaves, hot drinks, mums, warmth of layers, Gordon Lightfoot tunes, an extra blanket, crisp air, fires in the pit, snuggly kitties, gnarly trees, more time in the kitchen, pumpkins, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, candlelight, Halloween...what are your favorites? • My collage are shots from our yard. Trombley is a wooden scarecrow we purchased 34 years ago, a trusted friend; and the black crow who stands vigil in the perennial garden we’ve dubbed Stonehenge • Hello, Fall!
