AUTUMNAL EQUINOX
Today is the first day of the Autumn season, when day & night are of equal length. As each day passes, we are on our way to the Winter Solstice, which has the longest night. Some think of it as the "period of struggle between darkness & light."
Here is another interpretation:
"The annual AUTUMNAL EQUINOX helps us to honor the beauty
of the balance between day & night, between activities & restful time,
between productivity & contemplation, & it encourages us to give thanks for life's bountiful harvest." -Elain Voci
Here is California, it has cooled down a bit, but there is no outward sign,
that I can see, that Autumn has arrived. So I offer a Blip of
this bowl of small gourds & pumpkins, that include the colors of the season.
