Paused Shielding - Day 53
Avon Valley Railway, Bitton
A very odd day, in all ways. The day started with blue skies and bright 20 degree sunshine, but by 2pm the sky was so dark we had to put lights on indoors; a very eerie atmosphere...
I’d planned a morning outing to make the most of the “summer” weather but patient No1 was unwell so instead popped down the road to Bitton for a quick cuppa at the heritage station. Not long after we’d arrived, the sun disappeared, and even worse, they’d run out of Diet Coke!
Back home to the usual Tuesday chores, plus round two of the wrestling match with the Pyracantha (with the help of my neighbour), reseeded part of the lawn, attempted to rescue the slug-ravaged Pansies that I planted out at the weekend, and gave my car its fortnightly recharge in the hope of avoiding a further visit from the RAC!
Soon it’ll be time for the return of the Great British Bake Off, so I’m off in search of cake!
Take care, stay safe and well...
