A friend provides help

My most long standing friend (from Primary 1 for goodness sake!) popped in to visit on his way back from Oxford. What a rare treat to be able to offer hospitality to a friend in these strange COVID days.

I made him pay for his dinner though - he spent the afternoon helping us prepare the bed for the new shed at the back of the garden, and to be honest we couldn't have done it without him. We made HUGE bounds forward and I am so grateful to him.

We had some earnest discussions about spiritual issues. We may differ on beliefs now, but we certainly made each other think.

It's rather sad to think that nowadays spirited discussions seems more and more rare. We are all so divided and polarised now.
