Worth the wait!
A lovely morning starting with a celebratory breakfast at Boston Tea Party after Eda went to nursery.
We had some shopping tasks/requests to complete and then be back for a delivery between 12.00 and 1.00. Then it became another afternoon of waiting!
Grace knew she wouldn’t be released till 24 hours after the op. so sometime after 4.00pm was expected.
We collected Eda from nursery at 5.15, she’d had a great day and had two helpings of vegetable pasta for tea so didn’t really need much else but did manage to eat two apples while watching Disney.
Eventually she got into her pyjamas and kept looking out of the window into the dark. Finally, soon after 8.00 pm, Grace was discharged and we all finally got to meet baby Jude.
I think we can say the meeting was a success! Eda loves having a little sister and being a big sister and we are all in love with baby Jude. She has remarkably long hair once the red hat, which seems to have come home with her, came off!
One funny moment was when Eda, having been told to be careful of mummy’s post op tummy, touched it and asked if there was another baby!
Already looking forward to more cuddles in the morning.
Thank you for all your kind comments yesterday
The first extra was sent from the hospital this morning.
