Ancient Dystos

It was cloudy today so we explored the Ancient Acropolis of Dystos, which has been uncovered on a hill in the middle of the marsh. I had heard rumours that there were some ancient walls to be found on this hill, but nobody had ever found them. Now a track and some paths have been cut through the undergrowth and a lot of strimming has been done, revealing a really quite large extent of ancient walls, and higher up the remains of a Venetian tower . Quite a steep climb up but well worth the effort. Fascinating!
