Impact Arts

Impact Arts have been running a course in the Borders recently helping young people channel their creativness into business ideas. I was invited along to represent my office and to see what everyone had been up to while on the course including some of my own clients. There was Neil the t-shirt designer who works with street artists and photographers that would like to start up a community based project helping bring music and art and clothing together. We also had Niamh who at 16 is involved with dance and choreography and runs a dance class for young children and would like to take it further given the chance, Joanna who has graduated from the College of Art in Dundee and has just scored a very sought after place on a movie makeup course in London and sees herself working on films sets in the not so distant future and Sheenean who would like to use her child care and creative skills to become the owner of a new childcare business within the next 5 years.
These types of workshops help with so many things from confidence building and how to make your ideas happen to just being involved enough to know that someone believes in you which in turn promotes self belief.

I'm all for it.
