One of six

Starting in June 2019, the South African Mint issued new coinage in commemoration of 25 Years of Constitutional Democracy.

The issue consisted of 5 coins  in R2.00 denomination a 1 coin in R5.00 denomination.

The coin pictured above is the first to pass through my hands, and displays the symbol for religion in sign language, which is an image of a hand raised with an open palm.
Artist Peter Mammes' challenge was to depict people, ethnicity and religion without referring to a specific religion or belief. 
The Freedom, Belief and Opinion coin stands for the right to choose, change or practise one's beliefs and opinions.
