Late bloomer

A short wander today as the clouds started rolling in!

We had meant to leave earlier .... but we ended up having a chat with somebody that lasted rather longer than we intended!

The sun was still shining when we set off ... but it didn't last long ....... in fact the first few drops of rain fell as we got back into the car .... timing!

It was lovely to see this Foxglove flowering so late in the year ...... there was plenty of fungi about .... decided on this Hoof fungus for my blip. The acorns today are the English Oak ..... couldn't resist including this 'striking' tree ...... a Silver Birch that looks as if it had been struck by lightning at some point ..... hope you like my choices :-)

New restrictions coming back in ...... the rising Covid cases are rather worrying .... hope these measures manage to curb the rise!
