It is another nice though autumnal day here, cold at night but warming up with some sun during the day.

It is pretty impossible to grow tomatoes out of doors in Scotland, although many are grown in greenhouses.  However, the HG at the beginning of the season split open a supermarket tomato, removed the seeds and planted them in a large pot out of doors.  They have progressed much further than we expected, but I think are at their limit now and are not likely to redden up.  An interesting experiment though.
