She's a Beauty
She's a PRS SE Singlecut, for anyone who was wondering...
What, no pun? Fear not, the picture was taken just in the blip of time at about 10 minutes to midnight.
That aside, this is my guitar and she is beautiful. She feels a bit neglected, as of late, but today we sat down with some undisturbed one on one time with each other.
It felt great to be playing again, especially after such a long time, too. I'm mid-way through learning some new songs for when I play at The Dirty Duck, again in a few weeks' time. It's so easy to get distracted at Uni, I need to take more time off to do things I enjoy. I love being busy, but I do wish I could just turn off commitments, sometimes.
Today was another great day. Eve came over in the morning and we spent the day working, relaxing and talking. Work becomes much more bearable when there's someone else around. The distraction came when she kept trying to tell me what she got me for Valentine's day - she can't keep surprises secret at all - but I insisted she didn't say what it was. All I have to go on is that both Matt and Andy have said it's awesome, which definitely puts the pressure on me... Great.
Eve left for her first PhotoSoc exec meeting and I went to a Breaking training session. This is the first one I went to since our performance on Sunday and the turnout was good. Everyone now is super excited about our annual ass-kicking entry into UniChamps, which is the inter-uni bboy competition. I made real progress in the session for no explicable reason. That was nice.
Back to the house to play around with my new Jessops Flashgun (R.I.P Jessops - thanks eBay) and this was the result.
I'm paying more attention to my photographs, at the moment. The only thing I don't like about this is the reflection of my wall planner.
I keep asking for more days like this, and they seem to keep coming. I hope it continues.
