San Juan Mountains

We made it to the top of my husbands favorite part of the mountains. He was a few steps ahead when he crested a hill to find an eagle sitting on a rock. I was wearing my camera, but the lens cap was on and it was set to manual. I had no idea if I captured the eagle, so not a bad shot.

Hiked about 5 miles, starting at an elevation of 12584 feet. We probably went another couple hundred feet up at the highest point. The hiking was mostly easy, but lack of oxygen made us go slow.
