A Day At A Time.

Gamma Rays

It is 11:15 and I am in bed. I suddenly realise that I have not taken a single image all day.

Such as it is on some days.

As I look through my bedroom window, I see the moon suddenly poke through the clouds and light up the sky.

I fetch my camera and try to capture the beautiful sight. Unfortunately 1/13 second at iso 12800 and full zoom was inevitably going to result in a noisy blur and blob at best.

Earlier in the day I had been looking at some photographs taken of galaxies in the X -ray and gamma ray regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, rather than visible light.

They did not look at all unlike this image, after I had twiddled with it.

So there we are. The moon in gamma rays.

Night all.
