Gemini

Today would have been the 90th Birthday of the Astronaut, John Young.

He spent a total of almost 35 days in Space, and flew 6 missions; Gemini 3 and Gemini 10; Apollo 10 and Apollo 16, where he did 3 Moonwalks; and Shuttles 1 and 9.
He enjoyed 42 years working at NASA and died in 2018.

This is a 12" Airfix model of a Gemini capsule complete with its two-man crew, that I made many, many years ago, and to my delight, rediscovered in the loft when we were having a new roof fitted!
It now sits on display in my home office where I can admire my previous modelling/painting skills!!
