Christchurch Thrush

Now in Christchurch, and what a delightful place it is.

Had a great blipmeet with Gingernan and PCC this morning.

The earthquake damage is still very evident, and it really rocks it home to you when you see it for yourself. Just little things, like the memorial to those killed in the shopping mall.

The atmosphere is upbeat, and I really like it here. The shopping mall rehoused in shipping containers is something else! Vibrant and fun.

We went to the museum, and afterwards wandered through the Botanic Gardens, where I stalked this little thrush for abut 10 minutes. These are lovely birds, and we don't get them in South Australia at all. So it was a real treat for me to see one.
