What a difference a day makes

I didn't notice this poppy until yesterday when its green case popped open to reveal a beautiful deep red flower.  I'm sure there was a pink poppy in this space but maybe they can change colour?  This morning the flower had opened fully but after being hammered by the rain was looking quite sad for itself.  I doubt that it will survive the evening, the rain is torrential now.
