Seeing Red ....

Today is T's birthday. We had originally hoped that R (his daughter/my step-daughter) who is staying with her mum on a month long visit from Oxford could come and stay for the night to celebrate both T's birthday but also her own which is next week. 

However the change in regulations put paid to that and so we went to visit her today.  Thankfully the weather was kind and we enjoyed a walk to a nearby squirrel hide where we saw at least 5 or 6 different squirrels with one even coming briefly into the hide as well as a variety of different birds including a wood pecker. It was a real treat to watch them all running about.

We then enjoyed our respective picnic lunches in the garden before heading home.  

It was lovely to see R - a most enjoyable day for us all.
