Reluctant sunflowers

I fear that my sunflowers blipped here will die back before they bloom.

There has been quite a lot of exciting news today:

1. My friend Beryl gave birth to a baby daughter at 10:04 this morning.
2. Two of the research project bids submitted by members of my team over the summer have won Scottish Funding Council funding.
3. A team of three colleagues in my school (but not my research group) have just been awarded a massive £812k European research grant.
4. By late afternoon, another strong funding bid by members of my team was almost ready to be submitted in time for tomorrow's deadline.
5. I ran again this evening after work without any obvious ill effects.

Exercise today: 33 minutes of running.
