Zoom lecture
This evening I was extremely fortunate to attend a lecture over zoom , hosted by the David Parr House in Cambridge. The presenter talked about a local group, The Newton School of Metalwork, who created Arts and Crafts metalwork. in the advertisement for the lecture I saw a piece which was reminiscent of my clock (see extra) and the lecturer has kindly agreed to take a look at a photograph to see if it might actually be local. He explained that fish decorations were used as one of their motifs, as well as the use of mottos, and their pieces are quite often called ‘Liberty’ clocks, after the store in London
