Climbing wall 2020

Last year, she was terrified of this. This year she zoomed up four times and almost completed the hardest climb too. The photo is Bobbins, her and F.

Today was our first spectacularly long Monday under the new covid arrangements.

Her day starts with 7am.bassoon. Which she coped brilliantly with. We even finished in time to (speed) walk to school, excired because of climbing wall day.

Her first time coming home from school on her own. She did great. But walked through the gate and burst in to tears because the kids had been horrible to her. She sat on the doorstep on my lap having snuggles. Her class are quite unrelenting in their unkindness and it makes me sad. However, today a lovely friend from church has begun a lunchtime supervisor role in Katie's class and she's thoroughly delighted.

Anyway, she got herself calmed and dressed for ballet, and spent a time putting all her stress in to the piano.

Tonight was her first class back at her local dance school. She nearly refused to go in when people didn't follow the rules that are supposed to happen and she panicked that she didn't then understand what was expected of her. But she went. The requirements of them being in a single bubble mean she has to do ballet, conditioning, contemporary all in one (long) class. And she also has to do commercial, which she hates. She doesn't finish til 9pm, which would be late anyways but on top of 7am starts is huge. She did it though. I was not surprised, however, when she fell asleep in the car on the way home.
