I have some full open wing shots too (might put a couple on flick later), but preferred this side view instead, showing its long tongue lapping the nectar from my (you guessed it) mint flowers. (It's the only thing flowering in the garden! - though the rosemary is beginning to come out too and the Blue Banded Bee likes this and can often be found hanging around it, as apparently they like blue flowers. Very colour co-ordinated!)
